most Shopify stores don't know where they're losing sales
Published ecommerce conversion benchmarks land somewhere between 1 and 3%, depending on who is measuring. The gap between that and what a store could do is rarely a mystery once someone looks: a checkout step people abandon, a product page that doesn't answer the one question shoppers have, or tracking that doesn't match what's really happening in the store.
Finding it takes structured testing and real data analysis. A redesign based on a hunch usually moves the numbers in the wrong direction.

what I do
A/B testing done properly
Structured tests on the pages that matter most: product pages, cart, checkout. Sample sizes and significance thresholds are set before the test starts, so the result means something.
Tracking and analytics audits
Many stores have a gap between what their analytics report and what Shopify shows in revenue. I find the gap and fix the tracking so decisions rest on real numbers.
Customer research and data analysis
Before testing anything, I look at what customers do: survey data, funnel drop-off, session behavior. Every test targets a problem visible in the data.
case studies
Shaggy's Copper Country Skis
independent ski brand, Shopify
Surveyed hundreds of real customers, analyzed their Google Analytics data to find the weakest points in the conversion path, then ran A/B tests against those findings. Outcome: a homepage redesign driven by test results, a simplified product page and checkout, and new markets identified for demo events.
Shaka Wear
streetwear brand, retail + wholesale; stocked at Zumiez, Amazon and S&S Activewear
Built a new Shopify theme with separate retail and wholesale channels: wholesale application and approval flow, tiered pricing, Klaviyo email integration and Google Sheets inventory updates.
Nexwear
direct-to-consumer brand, Shopify + Recharge
Configured the Shopify and Recharge subscription integration, with ongoing Shopify development over a seven-month engagement.
Duffy Supply Company
fire and rescue equipment supplier (now Howell Rescue Supply), WooCommerce
First hired in 2019 for conversion rate optimization, then brought back in 2020 to stand up a new WooCommerce site integrated with Google Ads on a tight timeline. A repeat client.

white-label CRO for agencies
If your agency runs paid media or email for Shopify brands but doesn't have testing or analytics in-house, ecomloop works behind the scenes as your testing and reporting partner. You keep the client relationship. I design the tests, run them properly, and hand you a report you can put your name on.
